Full day, face to face course in Coventry

Take the guesswork out of teaching A-Level D&T and step into your classroom with confidence. This full-day course is designed for teachers who are new to Post-16 D&T or looking to enhance their A-Level provision. You’ll gain the knowledge, tools, and strategies to plan, deliver, and monitor a broad, balanced, and inspiring A-Level curriculum that sets your students up for success.

Course Objectives:

  • Develop a clear understanding of the requirements of A Level Design and Technology.
  • Plan and deliver an A Level course that covers all aspects of the syllabus*.
  • Prepare students for the NEA element of the course.
  • Investigate options for effective delivery of the theory content.
  • How to integrate students with limited prior experience of D&T.

Meet your Trainer

Paul Woodward – Curriculum Consultant

Paul has been teaching D&T for almost 30 years with most of those years as a Head of Creative Arts Faculties or as Head of D&T. Following a degree in 3D design, Paul initially trained for the Post 16 sector, so he has extensive experience of teaching A Level D&T, but he has taught the subject from KS2 onwards in a wide variety of schools ranging from Pupil Referral Units to Prestigious International Boarding schools. Paul’s MA is in Education specialising in Professional Development in Teaching and Learning which led to him working as a consultant, course designer and presenter for D&TA alongside his industry and teaching roles…
