Matt McLain

Bio:

Matt is teacher educator at Liverpool John Moores University, where he leads secondary initial teacher education, having led the design and technology postgraduate route beforehand. Before becoming a teacher educator, he taught design and technology in the Greater Merseyside area for eleven years, as a subject leader, lead practitioner and advanced skills teacher; working with teachers at a local and national level. Matt has been an active member of the Design and Technology Association since joining in the 1990s. Recently he helped to develop of the subject content for the design and technology at GCSE and A Level as a drafter for the Department of Education. His wider interests include educational research and practice in curriculum and pedagogy.
