Bio-Inspired textiles is a research project that asks:  

'how can biology help us design more sustainable textiles?' 
 
Bio-Inspired Textiles (BIT) has answered this question by looking at how structure in biological materials is used to produce some amazing mechanical properties and how these structures can be applied to textile design.
