Technical Awards Qualification Update

The Department for Education has published its Spring Update of the approved list of qualifications that will be eligible for inclusion in performance tables.

Unfortunately due to the forthcoming election, the new Level 1 & 2 Technical Awards for first assessment in 2019 have not yet been included on the list.  AQA are in dialogue with the Department for Education on this matter and remain committed to developing high quality qualifications which meet the needs of students and prepare them well for further study and work. We have been informed that these qualifications will be offered once their inclusion in performance tables has been confirmed. AQA will be resubmitting the qualifications to the DfE on 9 June and hope to be able to confirm their inclusion in the performance tables by the start of the autumn term.
