Invitation to Tender for Key Research into ‘KS3 Inspired by Industry’ Programme

Published 5th September 2024

We are inviting interested organisations to submit proposals for research into the impact of our 'KS3 Inspired by Industry' projects. This initiative, aimed specifically at Key Stage 3 students, seeks to explore how real-world industry exposure is influencing young learners and shaping their career aspirations in STEM fields.

Thanks to the generous support from our industry partners—Enginuity, Atkins Réalis, and AssetTagz—who have provided the necessary funding, we are now able to commission this vital research. The findings will help inform the future direction of the programme and its broader application across the UK, offering invaluable insights into how industry engagement can positively influence the education sector.

We are calling on research organisations, academic institutions, or consultancy firms with relevant experience to draft and submit bids for this work. The research is expected to assess the programme’s effectiveness in inspiring students, improving their understanding of industry careers, and enhancing their readiness for the future workforce.

Further details about the project scope, selection criteria, and bid submission process can be found below. Please note that the deadline for submitting bids is 17:00 on the 25th September 2024.

This is a significant opportunity to contribute to impactful research at the intersection of education and industry, helping to shape the future of the next generation.
