The Textiles Skills Centre Launches Key Survey

Published 31st October 2024

Primary Teachers, Your Input is Needed to Guide Textile Teaching Initiatives

The Textiles Skills Centre is inviting primary school teachers across the UK to participate in a quick, confidential survey designed to understand the current landscape of textile education.

The survey, taking only 10–15 minutes to complete, aims to uncover how much time is devoted to textiles, what kinds of projects students engage with, and the level of resources and training available to teachers. By sharing your experiences, you'll help the Textiles Skills Centre identify where resources and training might best support teachers and students alike in textile-based learning.

Secondary Textile Teachers: Help Us Reach Out!

The Textiles Skills Centre is also calling on secondary textiles teachers for a bit of help in spreading the word. If you have connections with primary teachers, please consider passing along this survey. Gathering diverse responses from primary settings will ensure a fuller picture of textile teaching practices and needs.

Survey Details:

  • Time to complete: 10-15 minutes
  • Anonymity: Responses are fully anonymous
  • Deadline: Survey closes 8th November 2024 (midnight)
