D&T Research
Published 10th June 2022
Retrieval Practice is currently a popular and focused on pedagogical approach in schools, due to the emphasis coming from the DfE and Ofsted on cognitive sciences research.
Chelsea Barker is undertaking research into retrieval practice within Design and Technology (D&T) for her Masters in Educational Practice at Liverpool John Moores University. This could be the first study of its kind in relation to D&T, so it could provide important evidence for the wider D&T community.
She is keen to hear from D&T teachers about their experience of retrieval practice and invite you to participate by undertaking a short online questionnaire.
The benefits of contributing to this research include building pedagogical knowledge of the benefits, limitations and applicability of retrieval practice to D&T, a concept currently at the forefront of educational policy and practice.
