CREATE Education Loan Scheme: Next Wave

Published 19th January 2023

Blueprint 1000 member CREATE Education will be continuing its scheme to introduce additive manufacturing to Primary Curriculum. They are offering a 5-week loan scheme which allows primary schools in the UK trial and embed 3D printing technologies into the curriculum and assess its effect on pupil learning and progression.

3D printing allows students to design and realise physical objects, providing a hands-on approach to learning that can increase engagement for students and encourage creativity and innovation.

3D printing technology is increasingly being used in a variety of industries, such as manufacturing, engineering, and design. By exposing students to this technology in primary school, it will help them to understand its real-world relevance and prepare them for future careers in a variety of fields.

Has your school discussed including 3D printing within your lessons and keen to explore how to embed it into the curriculum?

Unsure how this would look or work?

The 5-week loan scheme is supported with comprehensive resources and an online training webinar as well as support to help you get started. All you need to do to be eligible for the scheme is to have agreement from your head and an understanding that you are keen to potentially have a 3D printer permanently in your school

Should your school wish to be included on the next wave which will run 28.02.23 to the 31.03.23 please contact amelia.wright@data.org.uk.
