Autodesk Fusion 360: Webinar One

The first of the Autodesk webinars took place yesterday which went into detail about the features of their Fusion 360 platform and how this can be used in the classroom.

The 1-hour session delved into the cloud-based 3D modelling, CAD, CAM, CAE and PCB capabilities with various examples and live demonstrations.

One great feature being detailed visualisations of complex products with exploded views and animations.

The Autodesk team showcased how the platform can give a solid grounding in CAD/CAM fundamentals and provided a complete introduction to the features and implementation on offer. The session also touched on how to centralize and manage assignments and projects delivered by the students enrolled in your course.

This was a hands-on session with guiding and live Q&A opportunities.

The next session will continue into the fundamentals of how students can bring their ideas to life with CAM & 3D printing capabilities.
