Prototyping and developing circuits from KS3 to GCSE
Electronics can be great fun, I have never seen a pupil look disappointed when their circuit works for the first time; YOU too can enjoy the feeling by building your own circuits after my session.
Session Content:
- This session is suitable for absolute beginners or teachers that are a bit ‘rusty’ when it comes to developing circuits
- It will leave you with the confidence to let pupils develop their own circuits from scratch without soldering
- I’ll go through what sort of kit/equipment you need to get started
- The content will provide challenge from Y7 through to GCSE, it will touch on most of the content on the GCSE specifications
- Practical hints will be given so you can teach pupils to consider using electronics as a solution to design contexts
Learning outcomes:
- You will be able to use the correct terms when talking to pupils about designing electronic systems
- You will know how to build a circuit that can be changed easily to suit different functions
- I’ll show you how to ‘start small’ and let a circuit develop during the session so that it can be used as a solution to different design contexts
