Units not projects - A learning-first approach to D&T
This 'Units not projects' course is aimed at teachers and subject leaders of design & technology to implement an effective curriculum structure that focuses on the learning needs of the students. This learning led approach can be carefully structured through strategically designed units of work rather than squeezing subject theory around a design and make project.
The structure of this course has been planned with reflective and thought-provoking questions. We do advise that you complete this course at your own pace with breaks between sections so that you can take the time to consider, explore and discuss with others the questions posed. It may be that some of your own beliefs and opinions are challenged along the way. It is through this, that you will be able to structure a curriculum that has clear integrity, purpose and intent.
