Matthew Bury
Matthew Bury is a researcher and consultant, health & safety trainer, formerly a Senior Lecturer in Education, Middlesex University, programme leader for PGCE Design & Technology, also contributed to MA Teaching, BA Product Design & Engineering, and a moderator for the Graduate Teacher Programme. He holds an MSc in Occupational Health & Safety.
Prior to this he was Head of 3 Design & Technology departments in London, Essex and Hertfordshire and taught D&T, ICT, Science and Art. During this time he developed an industrial placement programme for A Level students and worked as a New Opportunities Fund ICT trainer in secondary Science and D&T.
After a science degree, he began working in scientific films and over an 11 year period moved across to special effects engineering with a specialism in biomimetic characters using programmable logic controllers, pneumatics and hydraulics.
