Kevin Rumary

Kevin is a registered Design and Technology Health and Safety Consultant, experienced senior leader and Engineering subject expert. With a Doctorate and Master’s degrees in education, he is an expert in the field of technical and vocational education. He has extensive experience leading Design and Technology departments in middle and secondary provisions in the North and South of the country. He has also been the DT National Subject Lead across a large MAT consisting of 32 secondary schools and six primary schools, providing advice, training and guidance to departments. With a passion for research, Kevin has extended knowledge on how students experience technical and vocational education. He has published internationally, advancing practices in the collation and interpretation of student voice. Kevin delivers friendly, focussed safety training which reflects his background as a marine engineer. He is also available to answer any other questions you may have about Design and Technology education, especially vocational education. Health and safety courses can be structured to your specific needs. While a practising RDTHSC, Kevin also maintains his role as an Assistant Principal in a coastal Essex secondary school and sixth form where he still teaches Engineering and Motor Vehicle studies to level 3.
